We have over 22,000 square feet of hunting, fishing, shooting,
reloading supplies, indoor pistol range, calls, shells, guns,
archery supplies, boots, clothes, tree stands, very extensive

area, reports Blair owner of SPORTSMAN INC. (803-366-3466)
located at 247 Hands Mill Hwy (Hwy. 274) in Rock Hill. Bream fishing
will improve this month on the full moon on July 18th. For bass,
try the back of the coves in shallower water with spinnerbaits,
plastic worms, or topwater lures early and late in the day. Crappies
should be moving deeper and can be caught with mini grubs and
minnow over brush. Catfish are really biting on all our rivers
and lakes, try minnows, stink bait or worms. Try some night fishing
for a new experience. They have a large selection of the newest
and classic fishing tackle and baits in the area, plus live bait.

bow. For more information call them or check out their web site
at www.SportsmanIncOnline.com. New license will be out around

Darren at NICHOLS STORE (803-328-9792),
located at 1980 Mount Holly Road, Exit 73 off I-77 in Rock Hill
reports, try fishing right from the bank on the Catawba River
and you can catch some good stringers of catfish and bream. On
Lake Wylie try topwater early in the morning or late in the evening
for bass around structure, or deep crankbaits or Carolina rigged
worms and lizards off points during the hot part of the day this
month for best results. Night fishing is always an option for
this time of the years for bass. Most crappie fishing will be
done at night under lights using minnows fished 10-22 feet deep
around bridge pilings or over brush. The bream fishing should
be great around the full moon on July 18th using crickets and
worms in the shallows. July is also an excellent month to layaway
any of those big ticket items for hunting seasons like a new gun
or tree stand. Try and take a kid fishing at least once a week
during the summer and be sure to stop in and visit the largest,
most complete display of outdoor hunting and fishing items in
the Carolinas or visit our website at www.nicholsstore.com.
CATFISH
ON! GUIDE SERVICE (803-328-9587)
and Capt Rodger Taylor is a USCG Licensed Fishing Guide who guides
for Catfish on Lakes Wylie and Wateree. He guides for all species
of catfish. On Lake Wylie, Channel catfish are biting great.
We can expect to get 15-25 fish per outing. Come try out Lake
Wylie this summer. Half day trips are recommended on the weekends
due to boat traffic but we can fish all day during the week and
have a ball. He will provide you with a great trip and plenty
of fond memories to look back on his custom 20 foot Voyager pontoon
specially rigged to bring catfish to the boat. Give Capt Rodger
a call or contact his website at www.catfishon.com.
We will
have plenty of fireworks available for you small and bigger kids
reports PENDLETON SPORTING GOODS (803-631-5410) located
on Hwy 49 at Five Points in Clover. We would like to remind you
to be extra safe with these fireworks and not cause any fire damage
anywhere. Fishing will be best early, late and at night for bass,
crappie and catfish. A lot of people will be switching over to
nighttime fishing for crappie, using minnows under lights. The
bass should start to move out on the main points and hit worms
and crankbaits. The kids can still pull in plenty of bream from
around the banks using worms or crickets during the day. New fishing
licenses will be available in mid-June. Also, State raffle tickets
are available anytime.
We hope
that everyone has a safe and enjoyable 4th of July and we look
forward to having you bring in some of the trophy fish the kids
catch for mounting reports Melissa at TRAILS END TAXIDERMY
