Fishing is great for carp and catfish right here at the lakes report Virgil at CANNONS LAKES located on Hwy 14 north of I-85 in Greer. Call for more details and information on our 4th of July family fun. We are stocking much heavier on catfish, at least a couple of times every month. We will be having big money carp tournaments during the summer months and hope you will stop by or give us a call for further details on the upcoming events. This is a family oriented business and requires no South Carolina fishing license.
Bream fishing is great
at this time, and plenty of white bass are being caught on Lake
Bowen, ranging one to two pounds, reports HIGHWAY 9 AUTO STOP
located just a couple of miles below Lake Bowen. Bass are hitting
early and late in the day or at night. They suggest using green
pumpkin, watermelon seed and sour grape worms using the Finesse
and Trick worms by Zoom. We look forward to seeing you and hope
you will have a safe 4th of July. Tons of tackle and live bait
are available here at the store.
Our customers are gearing up for the early deer season that starts September 15th in the Upstate reports Don at KELL-CO SPORTS located at I-585 and Lone Oak Road. After the July 4th holiday is when everyone usually comes in and starts laying away guns, ammo, hunting clothing, tree stands and other items. Dont forget that new licenses will be available here and must be in your possession July 1st for fishing. Bulk dog food is always available.
Some really good, big
bream have been caught on crickets here in the pond during the
last full moon reports Rhett at BROWNS BAIT AND TACKLE
located at Berry Pond on Berry Shoals Road, off Hwy 290. We have
a boat ramp, live bait, tackle and snacks. On Saturday and Sunday
we have fishing tournaments. We look forward to seeing you over
the 4th of July and hope that everyone will have a safe and enjoyable

Its time to get
out the old bream poles, bobbers, sit in the shade, catch a few
catfish and bream and keep the kids entertained reports Frank

Windslow Ave. Frontage Road). Fishing is great and the weather
will be hot in July so you might think about night fishing. We
have an excellent selection of bass fishing tackle. Make sure
you take a kid or Grandpa fishing with you when you go. Also,
after the 4th of July, it will be time to start thinking about
the upcoming deer and dove season and start getting your equipment
cleaned, doing some practicing and be ready to go. Anything and
everything can be put on lay away anytime.

The Southern Sportsman offers a wide variety of hunting

The Boykin Spaniel is
S.C. state dog reports RAINBOW KENNELS in the Spartanburg
area. The kennel specializes in breeding Boykin Spaniels from
on premises breeding stock that have been OFA... hip & heart
checked & CERF eye checked. Theyve been raising Boykins
for over 10 years & have become a respected member of the
Boykin Spaniel Society. A Boykin is a great companion or hunting
dog for big or little kids and an excellent companion and friend.

The news at FULTONS TACKLE BOX is that largemouth are being caught early or late in the day or at night on live bait and artificials like worms and lizards. Crappie fishing is good especially at night using minnows under lanterns. Bream will be in the shallows around the full moon (June 18 and July 18) and are being caught on worms and crickets. Remember we have six different size minnows, rosey reds and goldfish, frozen herring, and 10 different kinds of worms. We are a drop-off station for Edlunds Taxidermy.
