A few trout can be caught trolling deep, using downriggers with
Bad Creek lures and Lucky Jaks from 60 to 80 feet deep over tree
tops early and late in the day on Lake Jocassee reports Ken at
JOCASSEE OUTDOOR CENTER located at 516 Jocassee Lake Road
in Salem. Also, some trout can be caught at night using night
crawlers and live herring or big minnows about 30 to 60 feet down
near the dam. Bass should be caught this month on top water early
and late or at night in the river area around tree tops. Also,
there are plenty of bream around the banks. Try using popping
bugs, worms or crickets. The new fishing licenses must be in your
possession by July 1st, and they are available here. Call now
for July 4th reservations on our pontoon boats. This is a great
time to boat and swim on Lake Jocassee.
There will be a lot
of night time fishing for bass and spotted bass on Lake Keowee
this month reports PATs CASH AND CARRY located one
mile below Salem on Hwy 130. You have to renew your fishing license
by July 1st to be legal while on the lake. We hope that everyone
will have a safe and happy 4th of July holiday. Stop by here for

area. Try fishing deep for spotted bass on Lake Keowee during
the night with green worms on drop shot rigs. Also try topwater
baits early and late in the day or at night off points. Jocassee
offers some good trout fishing at night using live bait in 50
to 60 foot of water down by the turbine. As always, theres
plenty of hybrid and striper in Lake Hartwell to pull your string
with most of the fishing done at night using live bait. Stop by
over the 4th of July holiday or while on vacation and pick up
any of your fishing needs and get some great food. We also carry
propane for your convenience.

accessories. Live blue back herring is available for the striper
fishermen. We carry a huge selection of bass fishing lures by
such companies as Sebile and Lucky craft. We have boats by Crestliner,
Ebbtide and Champion, and outboards by Mercury, Mercruiser and
Yamaha. They are located only 15 to 20 minutes from Lake Hartwell,
Lake Keowee and Lake Jocassee.

told us that Jocassee Charters is available seven days a week.
The trout fishing is good early in the mornings trolling Sutton
spoons and small Rapalas 20 to 60 feet deep. We are also catching
some big brown trout on Bad Creek spoons trolled 50 to 70 feet
deep. The fishing is only going to get better the next few months.
