TRADER WORLD (843-552-5964) located on Cross
County Rd. in N. Charleston is all stocked up with all types of
guns. If you need a new or used gun, stop in and see owner Bill
Dukes and the crew, they have the largest selection of new and
used guns in town. If you need to get your gun repaired or cleaned,
they have full time gunsmith on hand for all of your gunsmithing
and repair needs. They also have a large selection of scopes,
ammo and all of your hunting supplies and accessories. Deer season
isnt that far away 15 August in some of the local counties,
start looking for that perfect gun now. They are a stocking dealer

TACKLE WEST ASHLEY is
located at 47 S. Windermere Blvd. This store is stocked with everything
that you will need to fish in the coastal and offshore waters
around Charleston. They have a great selection of apparel for
the outdoorsman or outdoorswomen. Dee Oliver and his staff have
all the knowledge and experience to help you with all your fishing
needs, as well as giving up to date fishing reports. Mr. Blocker
does the best rod and reel repair around. Scott reports offshore
there has been a slow down in what was an absolutely incredible
dolphin bite, and he has seen a great blue marlin bite as well!
Some sails have begun to show up in fair numbers. Wahoo fishing
has been getting better and kingfishing has started to take off.
He reports inshore reds, trout, flounder, spanish, and spades
have all been doing well. Cobia, continue to produce good reports

At FOLLY ROAD TACKLE
SHOP, they are hearing some good catches of trout and flounder
are up in the creeks and rivers and being caught with mud minnows,
shrimp and grubs around live oyster beds. Tommy suggests you fish
early and late in the day because of the heat. Spot tail bass
are up the waterways and rivers and on the flats at high tide.
The spot tail bass can be caught on spoons, mud minnows or mullet.
On the full moon (July 7th) the bream fishing should be excellent
in the local freshwater ponds and rivers using crickets and worms.
Folly Road Tackle Shop carries a good selection of tackle and
bait for whatever kind of fishing you do. They have everything
(food, drinks, beer, ice and more) you will need for a day of

The SEA SCHOOL
on Daniel Island/Clements Ferry Road can help get your captains
licenses. Do you need a CAPTAINS LICENSE to be a professional
fishing guide or run a charter boat? Then you are in luck! They
have been in business since 1977. For a 6-PAK LICENSE - With just
one year of boating experience on almost any boat entitles you
to take their Coast Guard approved course and test for a license
to carry up to 6 passengers for hire. The next Sea School classes
will be held, July 17th, August 1st, September 12th and 25th (Guide
& 6 pak courses). 6 pak Classes are two weekends, and the
five weeknights between them. Weekends are 9am to 6 pm, weeknights

good harvest reports out of Canada and really do enjoy mounting
these beautiful creatures. We have taken classes on mounting life-size
bears and have been taught by some of the best taxidermist in
the nation. We attend seminars on a regular basis because we have
a restless urge to be the best taxidermists that we
can be. Weve learned a lot, but there is still more to learn.
Stop by our show room and take a look at what a restless
urge will buy you. You will be able to see for yourself

mammals, fish, game heads across the country, and African mounts.
We area easy to find, Just take exit 194 (Jedburg exit) and head

THE CHARLESTON ANGLER has a huge selection and fully
stocked with inshore and offshore fishing supplies. They are stocked
up with clothing for the fisherwomen and fishermen. Charleston
Angler will be glad to re-spool or repair your reels and give
you some tips on fishing the waters around Charleston. In fishing
baits you need to check out the Gulp shrimp and crab baits by
Berkley, Storm Baits, saltwater Assassins and much, much more.
They are getting reports that the red fish fishing in the coastal
creeks and flats in Charleston have been good, using live and
cut bait and gulp crabs. Flounder is picking up in the creeks
and inlets and can be caught drifting mud minnows just off the
bottom. Wahoo are being caught using bottom fish jigs (Shimano
Butterfly jigs). Some nice Cobia have been caught in the Beaufort
area. Spanish mackerel can be caught at the mouth of the jetties,
and they suggest casting Clark spoons into the schools. Bass,
pan fish and trout have been good in the Cooper and Wando Rivers

MOUNT PLEASANT AND

Charleston County, County Park and Recreation Commission, in partnership
with the Town of Mount Pleasant, proudly announces the opening
of the Mount Pleasant Pier. Located at the foot of the Arthur
Ravenel, Jr. Bridge on the Charleston Harbor, the pier is part
of the Memorial Waterfront Park complex. Operated by the Charleston
County Park and Recreation, these are two of the best outdoor
entertainment facilities in the state. Both Piers feature breathtaking
views, Fishing, Tackle sales and Rod rentals, Gift and Tackle
Shops, Special events & tournaments, Food and Beverage, Restrooms
(handicap-accessible), and more! The Folly Pier stretches 1,045
feet into the sparkling waters of the Atlantic Ocean. At 25-feet
wide and 23-feet above sea level, the pier is the second longest
on the east coast. At the end of the pier is a 7,500 sq. ft. diamond-shaped
platform with spectacular views. Folly Beach Pier also has a Full-service
