BEAUFORT BOAT & DOCK SUPPLY is located on Ribaut Rd., in Port Royal. They can help in selections of the proper rigs & baits to be used for fish’n the Beaufort area waters. It’s very productive fishing for redfish and whiting, with flounder and trout still being taken. Offshore, the King Mackerel bite is on. Trolling ballyhoo should be effective at about 60 feet, just 14 miles out. Schools of blues are moving in near shore waters and sheepshead catches continue to be good. Fine catches of bull dolphin have been reported, while the Gulf Stream has been the place to go for wahoo and yellow fin tuna and larger bluefish. Some good bluefish and Spanish mackerel can be caught off Bay Point in Port Royal Sound. Offshore bottom fishing is really good, with catches of vermilion snapper, triggerfish, black sea bass and grunts reported. "Be safe on the water!"


Stop by DRIFTWOOD BAIT SHOP for your bait needs. The Chartered Head Boats are taking limits of various types of fish such as Vermilion Snapper & Red Porgy. Some really big Spottail Bass catches are reported in the surf & in the flats. Live baits work best this time of year. Some real good reports of nice catches of Sheepshead & Black Drum are coming in from local fishermen & out on the piers. Some nice size Cobia were taken during the Cobia run this year! Black Drum, Sheepshead & Black Bass are a good catch at the Wreck. “Take a Kid Fish’n!”

David & his crew are very knowledgeable about what’s going on, in the area waters. In addition to a great selection of seafood they also handle bait supplies. In the area waters around Beaufort & Hilton Head Island, Spottail Bass are still a good catch & they’re very aggressive. They tell us, that offshore, huge catches of Dolphin, Tuna & Wahoo have been reported. Inshore fish’n in the area waters is still very good. Sea trout & red drum fish’n is very productive & in the freshwater, bream & largemouth bass fish’n is very good in the early mornings & in the early evenings. This is a good time to work those top water lures & floating worms.

Fish fillets, Shrimp, Crabs, all at very competitive prices. Area fishermen are catching some big Red Drum in the flats. Some nice flounder are being caught around inlets, mostly in moving water, using grubs & live shrimp. Freshwater fish’n for bream & largemouth bass is very good in the early mornings & in the early evenings. This is a good time to work those top water lures.
